Subsidy solar panels

There are various subsidy schemes and incentives that support the purchase of solar panels. An important scheme is the Investment Subsidy for Sustainable Energy and Energy Savings (ISDE), which is managed by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).

The ISDE subsidy is intended for private individuals, companies and institutions that invest in sustainable energy solutions, including solar panels. The amount of the subsidy depends on the capacity of the solar power system. You can find the current subsidy amounts and conditions on the RVO website.

In addition to the ISDE subsidy, households with solar panels in the Netherlands can also use the so-called feed-in subsidy. This is a compensation for the electricity that you supply back to the electricity grid. This scheme is intended to make the investment in solar panels more attractive.

If you install solar panels as a private individual, you may be eligible for a refund of the VAT paid on the purchase and installation costs of the solar panels. This can provide significant financial benefits.

Subsidy Heatpumps

In the Netherlands you can get a subsidy for heat pumps. The most important subsidy for heat pumps available to private individuals is the Investment Subsidy for Sustainable Energy and Energy Savings (ISDE), managed by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).

The ISDE subsidy is intended for private home owners who purchase and install a heat pump.

The subsidy applies to various types of heat pumps, including air-water heat pumps, ground-based heat pumps and hybrid heat pumps.

The amount of the subsidy varies depending on the type of heat pump, the capacity and efficiency of the installation. The exact subsidy amounts are determined annually and may vary.

To be eligible for the subsidy, the heat pumps must meet certain technical requirements. It is important to check whether the heat pump you are considering installing meets these requirements.

The subsidy must be applied for from the RVO. You submit the application after the heat pump has been installed and put into use.

It is possible to combine the ISDE subsidy with other subsidy schemes, such as the subsidy for solar boilers.
